The projects, spread across the 18 local government areas of the state, encompass the construction and renovation of classrooms, Early Childhood Care Development and Education (ECCDE) centers, toilet facilities, perimeter fencing, and water and sanitation projects aimed at improving access to quality basic education and ensuring conducive learning environments for pupils. UBEC 2023 Matching Fund Projects (Executed in 2024) Under the UBEC 2023 matching fund, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration facilitated several key infrastructure projects, including:

  • Construction of a perimeter fence at St. Joseph CAC Primary School, Okedo, Idanre.
  • Construction of an ECCDE center at Our Saviour Primary School, Emure Ile, Owo Local Government.
  • Construction of two classrooms at Amunye Junior Grammar School, Owo Local Government;
  • Construction of three classrooms at St. Martins RCM Primary School, Okedogbon, Owo Local Government.

These projects, completed in 2024, underscore the administration’s resolve to secure school premises and provide safer learning spaces for pupils. UBEC 2024 Matching Fund Projects (Executed in 2025) The 2024 matching fund projects, executed in 2025, further expanded the government’s educational infrastructure interventions across Ondo State, addressing critical gaps in public school facilities. Key among the projects are:

  • Construction of ECCDE building at Local Authority Primary School, Araromi Seaside, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Construction of three wooden classrooms at Community Grammar School, Idogun, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Construction of two-bay toilets with well systems at Our Saviour’s Primary School, Emure Ile, Owo Local Government, and Model Primary School, Imeri, Ose Local Government;
  • Construction of two classrooms at Ugele School, Ugele Igoba, Akure North Local Government;
  • Construction of three classrooms without office at St. Anthony Grammar School, Iloro, Igbara Oke, Ifedore Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms at St. David’s Anglican Primary School, Ayeferere Makinde, Odigbo Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms at Community Primary School, Istijabar Annex, Ore, Odigbo Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms at Agolo Junior High School, Odo Ikare Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms at Pius RCM Primary School, Oka Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms with office (wooden) at Community Grammar School, Ebujimi, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Renovation of two classrooms at Local Authority Primary School, Cocoa Estate Camp II;
  • Renovation of six classrooms with offices at Holy Trinity Primary School, Olowo, Odigbo Local Government;
  • Renovation of two classrooms at Local Authority Primary School, Osic Oda Cocoa Estate, Akure South Local Government;
  • Renovation of two-bay toilets with well systems at St. Paul’s Primary School, Auga Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government;
  • Construction of ECCDE building at St. James Primary School, Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government;
  • Construction of three classrooms at Unity Junior School, Ode Aye, Okitipupa Local Government;
  • Construction of three classrooms with office (wooden) at St. Jude Anglican Primary School, Alagbon, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Construction of three classrooms with office (wooden) at Community Grammar School, Obe Nla, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Renovation of six classrooms with offices at Christ Anglican Primary School, Egunre, Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government;
  • Renovation of six classrooms with offices at Leegun, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government;
  • Renovation of six classrooms with offices at CAC Grammar School, Oda Road, Akure South Local Government;
  • Renovation of four classrooms without office at Baptist Junior High School, Odo Ode, Idanre Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms with two offices at St. John RCM Primary School, Ala Apafa, Idanre Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms without office at Holy Flocks of Christ Junior Grammar School, Ayeyemi, Ondo West Local Government;
  • Renovation of three classrooms with two offices at St. Benedict Catholic Primary School, Irun Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government;
  • Renovation of six classrooms (Agagu type) at Ekamarun Grammar School, Ifon, Ose Local Government;
  • Renovation of six classrooms with offices at St. James Anglican Primary School, Idogun, Ose Local Government;
  • Renovation of four classrooms without office at St. Patrick College, Oka Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government; and
  • Renovation of four classrooms without office at Zumuratul Islam Primary School, Ikese Oka Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government. Renovations under UBEC 2024 Matching Fund (Executed in 2025) Further extensive renovations included:
  • Six classrooms with offices at St. David’s Anglican Primary School, Irese, Akure South; Six classrooms with offices at Local Authority Primary School, Iloro, Igbara Oke, Ifedore;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Canaland Primary School, Onimalu Ijoka, Akure South;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Medayese Memorial Primary School, Idi Agba Tuntun, Akure South;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Army Children School, Land III, Owena Barracks, Akure South;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Community Primary School, Igunsin, Igbatoro Road, Akure North;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Ogo Oluwa Community Grammar School, Oda Road, Akure South;
  • Two classrooms with offices at Community Grammar School, Oke Ewa, Ilaje Local Government;
  • Pavilion renovation at Caring Heart Mega School, Ifon, Ose Local Government;
  • Seven classrooms with offices at Ebenezer FAC Primary School, Okitipupa;
  • Six classrooms with offices at St. Mathew’s CAC Primary School, Isalu, Idanre;
  • Six classrooms with offices at St. Coleman’s RCM Primary School, Asoko, Idanre;
  • Six classrooms with offices at St. Catherine’s RCM Primary School, Oke Igbala, Ondo;
  • Completion of perimeter fence at St. Luke’s Primary School, Itebukunmi, Ilaje;
  • Six classrooms with office and store at Baptist Day Primary School, Erusu Akoko;
  • Six classrooms with store at Okedogbon, Owo;
  • Six classrooms with offices at Ebenezer A.C. Primary School, Isua Akoko;
  • Six classrooms with offices at St. Catherine Primary School, Oke Ipare, Ilaje;
  • Six classrooms with store and office at Ifesowapo Community Grammar School, Arigidi, Akoko North West;
  • Four classrooms at Esedo Comprehensive High School, Iwaroka Akoko;
  • Six classrooms (Agagu type) at Salem A/C Primary School, Ikaram Akoko; and
  • Three classrooms with offices at Christ Anglican Primary School, Iye Akoko, Akoko North West. Water and Sanitation Projects In line with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), the Aiyedatiwa administration also executed numerous water projects across public schools, including:

  • CAC Primary School, Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo;
  • Alasagba Community High School, Ibuji, Ifedore;
  • St. Joseph Primary School, Igbara Oke;
  • St. Andrew Anglican Primary School, Ilara Mokin;
  • Adejubu Primary School, Igunsin, Akure North;
  • Local Authority Primary School, Ikoya, Okitipupa;

A Renewed Commitment to Educational Development

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s approach to education focuses on inclusivity, safety, and sustainability. The UBEC-assisted projects form part of his broader vision to reposition public education in Ondo State by ensuring that no community is left behind in accessing quality infrastructure.

Speaking on the initiative with the correspondent of WorldView News, the official of the Ondo State Government reaffirmed Gov Aiyedatiwa’s administration’s pledge to invest meaningfully in the future of the state’s children.

“Education remains a vital pillar of our Renewed Hope Agenda. We are rebuilding schools to rebuild dreams. Every child in Ondo State deserves a safe, modern, and inspiring environment to learn,” he said.

He further stated that the scale and spread of the UBEC projects underscore the administration’s resolve to make education a key driver of human capital development in Ondo State.
